  • About Operation PAR Medication Assisted Patient Services - Clearwater

Operation PAR Medication Assisted Patient Services - Clearwater located in Clearwater, FL provides a State Funded rehab program. Detailed description details:

Operation PAR Medication Assisted Patient Services provides a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program for opioids.

Operation PAR Medication Assisted Patient Services uses a combination of medication, counseling, and behavioral therapy to treat opioid addiction.

Medications used in the MAT include: Buprenorphine; Unlike methadone treatment, which must be performed in a highly structured clinic, buprenorphine is the first medication to treat opioid dependency that is permitted to be prescribed or dispensed in physician offices, significantly increasing treatment access.
Methadone; Methadone works by changing how the brain and nervous system respond to pain. It lessens the painful symptoms of opiate withdrawal and blocks the euphoric effects of opiate drugs such as heroin, morphine, and codeine, as well as semi-synthetic opioids like oxycodone and hydrocodone.
Naltrexone; Naltrexone blocks the euphoric and sedative effects of drugs such as heroin, morphine, and codeine. It works differently in the body than buprenorphine and methadone, which activate opioid receptors in the body that suppress cravings. Naltrexone binds and blocks opioid receptors, and is reported to reduce opioid cravings. There is no abuse and diversion potential with naltrexone.

    Hours: Mon-Fri 5:30 - 11:00 am, Sat-Sun 6:30 - 10:00 am

I would like to start the Matt program once I leave treatment; right now I’m at white sands, I just got here and I will be here for 30 days! I was wondering if you guys take blue cross blue shield for the methadone program? & I would like to set something up so I can start treatment as soon as i get out! But I know I set that up when I’m almost about to leave what exactly do I need ? So when I get out I can start right away ?
